Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) programs promote research and extension learning experiences for undergraduates and prepares them to enter the agricultural workforce with exceptional skills. This initiative allows colleges and universities to provide opportunities for undergraduate students, including those from underrepresented and economically disadvantaged groups, minority-serving institutions, community colleges, and universities.
This University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture (UTIA) has several REEU programs across a range of focus areas including, bioinformatics, genetics, veterinary entomology, food science and engineering. Students participating in these programs will develop skills in areas valuable to their future success such as, team science, data management and analysis, professional interaction through collaboration and conference presentations, developing research papers, and much more.
